Bronxworks is a human service organization working to help individuals and families improve their economic and social well-being. From toddlers to seniors, our mission is to feed, shelter, teach, and support our neighbors to build a stronger community. At JCTS, Bronxworks staff act as academic advisors, bridging the gaps between teacher and student to ensure students set goals and are able to forge the paths to achieve them. Our staff works together to bring a number of services to this school, including Insurance company representatives, dental examinations, vision screenings and The Catch Program, bringing sexual health and safety awareness to our students. In addition, we are responsible for improving student attendance and parent engagement, including our end-of-semester Art Show where students exhibit the hard work they have put into their Friday elective courses and an annual Carnival where staff, students and family come together to celebrate all the hard work put into the past academic year and learn more about how JCTS is working to encourage and support its students.
